Usage guidelines:
• Start using NewGel+ when the scar has closed and/or the stitches have been removed.
• Remove NewGel+ from the packaging. If necessary, cut and trim it so that it extends at least 1/2 inch (1 cm) beyond the area to be treated.
• Wash and dry the treated area each time you apply NewGel+.
• Peel back the release liner and apply NewGel+, adhesive side down, directly to the area being treated.
• Make sure the scar site is free of creams, lotions and ointments (including NewGel + E gel) as they will cause NewGel + to lose adhesion.
• Although NewGel+ is self-adhesive, if necessary, it can be secured using tape or elastic netting.
• NewGel+ caps should be worn daily for 6 to 23 hours. For best results, they can be worn continuously but should be removed once a day to check the area and allow it to be washed and dried.
• NewGel+ scar strips should be worn daily for at least two months. Further improvement may occur with continued use for up to six months.
• When NewGel+ gets dirty or loses stickiness, gently wash with tap water and mild hand soap, then air dry before reapplying.
• If your skin is very sensitive, start by using NewGel+ for 4 hours daily for 4 days to identify any potential reaction. After that, gradually increase the application time.
• NewGel + silicone scar strips should be replaced when they deteriorate, fall apart, or fail to adhere. Each strip should last 3 to 4 weeks.
• Keep the packaging to store the product when it is not in use.
Warnings and precautions:
• Do not start using NewGel+ until the scar site is completely closed (stitches are removed, no bleeding).
• As with any product applied directly to the skin, some type of reaction (rash) may occur in people with sensitive skin.
• If a reaction occurs, wash and dry the area and reapply the product for shorter periods.
• If the rash or severe itching persists, stop use and consult your doctor.
• Keep out of reach of children
