Directions for Use Begin using NewGel+ after the scar has been closed and the sutures have been removed. Trim the patch if necessary, so that it extends 1/2 inch (1 cm) beyond the area to be treated. Wash and dry the treated area each time you apply NewGel+. Remove the release liner and apply the patch directly to the area. Make sure the site is free of creams or lotions, as they may affect the adhesion of the patch. Although NewGel+ is self-adhesive, it can be secured with tape or elastic mesh if necessary. The patch should be worn daily for 6 to 23 hours, preferably continuously with one removal per day to check the site. The patch should be used for at least 2 months, with results potentially improving with continued use for up to 6 months. If the patch loses its adhesion or becomes contaminated, it can be gently washed and dried before reapplication. For sensitive skin, it is recommended to start by wearing the patch for 4 hours per day for 4 days to avoid any reactions.
