Used as a base for pharmaceutical preparations. It is an emulsion of water and some fat, usually including beeswax and mineral oils. It feels cool on the skin when applied (hence the name). It is designed to soften and smooth the skin. Active Ingredients: Petrolatum: A moisturizer and barrier. Paraffinum Liquidum: A moisturizer and skin softener. Glycerin: A humectant that attracts moisture from the air to the skin. Now available "fragrance-free." Directions for use: Apply topically 2-3 times daily to the desired area.
