Used as a base for pharmaceutical preparations. It is an emulsion of water and some fats, usually including beeswax and mineral oils. It feels cool on the skin when applied (hence the name). It is designed to soften and smooth the skin. Active Ingredients: Petrolatum: A moisturizer and barrier. Liquid Paraffin: A moisturizer and skin softener. Glycerin: A humectant that attracts moisture from the air to the skin. Now available "fragrance free". Directions for use: Apply topically 2-3 times daily to the desired area.
